The Brief
Student brief to design a new brand identity for Griffin Theatre Company that encompasses the core values and personality of the brand. The company is passionate about nurturing emerging artists and helps ambitious, bold, risk-taking and urgent Australian plays get from a page onto a stage.
The Solution
A little bit gritty, a little bit grungy, totally radical and something new. The design promotes an alternative and fresh take on contemporary theatre in Australia.
It uses texture and bold colours to highlight the bold and risk-taking ethos of the company and poses as a metaphor for striking drama and live theatre.
With a commitment to the environment, the branding is designed for the use of 100% recycled papers and utilises the textures and imperfections of recycled paper into the overall look and feel.
